ProjectIndia.in - Citizen Action Network
ProjectIndia.in setup to help Action Groups and Individuals in India Pro-actively Collaborate Online to effect Social Change
ProjectIndia.in is the first website in India setup with the express purpose of providing ordinary Indians and citizen groups with a platform where they can come together to jointly bring about a social and ideological metamorphosis of Indian society.
Driven by the same idea that drives powerful Social Networking Media online models such as Facebook.com and Orkut, www.ProjectIndia.in is India's primary exclusive Social "Action" Network, a non-governmental social watchdog innovated with the sole purpose of connecting all individuals and Groups concerned with social change to one other, without fear of censorship or political bias.
The website provides a variety of tools such as Online Networking and Connecting, Topical Forums, Action Groups, Member Blogs and Event Calendars, all of which can be used to both discuss the issues that stimulate us all, and to implement collective projects that work towards remedying social ills. All that individuals or groups have to do is sign up, and then they can easily set up and administer their own Action Groups to target the problems that they want to pro-actively change.
"Lets all not be fooled and think that India's problems can be solved with one click of a mouse-button," said one of the website founders. "We must realize that the clean-up process of the dogmatic evils that riddle our society will take time and dedication by all who choose to be involved. At Project India, we've basically setup an online forum to help the people of India simplify the process of change, and we hope that they will come together en masse, regardless of income, creed or age, to systematically explore and invent solutions to sort out "the mess" that has been created slowly since Independence."
Now anyone sitting anywhere can join the movement to change India for the better.
